Molecular You’s current health assessment is designed to provide actionable insights into disease risk, biological pathways, and preventive health using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
While LC-MS can be used for certain hormone measurements, our current panel focuses on biomarkers with the strongest evidence for early disease risk stratification, clinical actionability, and reproducibility across large populations. Many hormones, such as cortisol or sex hormones, require specific timing, dynamic testing, or specialized assays (e.g., immunoassays) for accurate interpretation because their levels fluctuate significantly based on circadian rhythms, menstrual cycles, or other physiologic variables.
Our priority has been to develop a highly standardized, reproducible panel that provides reliable results across all samples. We are actively evaluating the inclusion of additional biomarker classes, including hormones, for future panels as methodologies advance and clinical utility for preventive health strengthens.
However, given the importance of hormones in the functioning of the human body, Molecular You does have 10 biomarkers in its Hormone Binding and Transport biological pathway. This pathway controls how hormones travel through the blood, usually bound to carrier proteins. These carriers help regulate how much hormone is available to tissues at any given time.
